A little over a year ago, I received a gift from my parents which is one of the greatest gifts I have ever received and one of the best products I have ever owned.  I wanted to do a write-up about it.

I have a whole pile of stuff that has been building up for a week with nothing in common.  So, in no particular order, here it is.

Tonight I am attending a Halloween party that is being catered by an Albany local who makes pizzas himself and delivers them on his bike.  The unique thing about it is that you can only order through Twitter.  The host pre-ordered four pizzas for tonight's party which, if you're a one man operation, could be the whole night.  I'll report back later with how it went and with our Halloween costumes.

When my dad was about my age, I was a little kid.  I guess I'd have to define little kid and my current age.  The math works out somehow but it isn't important.  The important person in this story is Paul.  I don't really know Paul but he gave a gift to our family that my dad didn't want but it changed our lives forever.  Especially my own.

A friend of my dad's climbed Whitney recently.  He took a ton of great photos.  Check them out here.

My hiking trip that was planned for tomorrow has been cancelled.  Mount Marcy is already seeing snow and more is on the way this weekend.  It has been raining here for a few days and has been getting very cold.  The heater is on and I haven't taken my socks off since I got home from work.
