The logo has changed.  On Thursday, we hit the end of summer.  The little branch that makes the "t" in my last name now has colorful leaves instead of the nice green ones that were there over summer.

Ever since I returned to New York, I have been very busy at work.  We were glad to see Clover waiting for us (alive) when we got home.  She's a sweet little cat.  I think Murray would beat her in a fight but I'd rather have Clover sleep close to my face than Murray.

Clover is my cat.  Murray is my sister's cat in California.  Murray doesn't like people very much.  He's a very soft cat and I'd like him on my side in a fight so I could pet him and watch him punch at the same time.

Once the tarantula was out of the way, we threw a party for the west coast friends and family who couldn't make it to the wedding in Minneapolis.

I made it to the beach today.  It was a lot of fun.  I miss this stuff.

Just for the record.

If all is going well, I'm on my way up, or on my way back down Mt. Whitney in California.  We should be to the top well before noon but after sunrise and back down shortly after lunch.  That's the plan.

I got a burger today.

This site has been up and running for three years as of today.  I know this because it is when the annual hosting bill hits my account.  Hooray!

I'm packing my bag right now.  I'll be back home around this time tomorrow.  I look forward to seeing everybody.

I usually watch cartoons while I do my laundry.

I played a game of Monopoly and recorded it.  I hope that you have something better to do on a Saturday night.

Fall is almost here.  It's getting cold at night again and it gets dark so soon.  I'm glad that I get to see summer one last time in California before I resign to this northeastern depression.

I think I'm ready to say it.  Super Mario Galaxy 2 is better than Super Mario Galaxy 1.  I just typed it and stared at it for fifteen seconds.  Play it or watch somebody play it.

Albany, New York.  Where 30 means 40, 60 means 80, and STOP means nothing.  I understand now why people out here don't give half a crap about their cars.

Duke Nukem was a fantastic 2D side-scrolling platformer that was released for the PC back in 1991.  Duke Nukem 2 was released shortly afterward in 1993 and Duke 3 was the first 3D Duke released in 1996.  Duke 4 was announced in 1997.  Duke 4 is set for release in 2011.

I have written about Duke on this site here before.  The last time was June of 2008 (go ahead and check the archive).  I won't keep talking about the long hard road it has been but I really did give up hope.  I was sure that we would never see it when the company making it went out of business.  The rights and property for the project was picked up by another company who realized the brand recognition was too great to just let go.
