I almost lost the whole site.  If you hadn't noticed, jasonschlueter.com went down at about 21:00, Sunday 8/29/2010.  I almost lost everything.  Remember what I said in the previous post about backing up?  Boy howdy.  I think that everything is working.  Please report any oddities but we should be back to normal.

Thanks Erin and Rescue Cat.  That cat is my backup and I am that stuffed shark but only half as smart.

Erin finished up her step 2 licensing exam on Friday.  It was a nine hour test.  She deserves a high-five.  And a cake!

My sister Lisa turns 14 or something today.  Lisa designed the snake logo.

We received a link yesterday to our professionally done wedding photos.  I warn you now, there are just over a thousand photos but they might be fun to browse.  I have quite a few favorites.

We went to the fair today.  We both had a good time.  I took a picture and one video.  Here they are.

When I was a kid, my local library would occasionally have "clearance" sales to get rid of outdated books.  They were always sold at an incredible discount however I hardly see the value in a twenty-five year old Farmer's Almanac or or three volumes of a fifty volume encyclopedia.

I did get a kick out of the old computer books.  I don't know if I learned anything useful from them but it made me look smarter to have them around.

This site called Awful Library Books posts reader images and scans of, well, awful library books.  There are some bad ones.  Some are now politically incorrect or scientifically unimportant.  There's a good one about helicopters.  This one about Burt Reynolds is my favorite.  Maybe even if it's a bit creepy.

I didn't write this but it was sent to me again today.

I was just watching a Popeye cartoon Sock-A-Bye, Baby and I had to grab this screenshot.  This is something we don't see anymore.

I received a link to both my mom's and dad's picasa photo albums from the wedding and the trip to Minnesota.  Some of these I hadn't yet seen.

These albums overlap about 90%.  Most of the photos that I have are photos that are also in these albums.  Check them out anyway.

I don't have any new wedding photos to share today.  I keep hoping that somebody will e mail some to me from their personal camera.

I've been playing Dragon Quest 9 lately.  I put a lot of effort into it before the wedding/honeymoon trip and have been stuck in almost the same place since we made it back.  The final bad guy is really tough but I was trying to do it my way (one party member) and not the more common way (four party members).  I don't know how you'd do it alone so on Saturday I added three party members and I'm going to try again.

I'm going hiking with my dad next month out in California and he bought me some pants for the trip.  My day-to-day pants are Levi's 550 34x34 and could now wear a 32" waist but that's what belts are for.  When he asked my size, he bought a pair of pants which corresponded to that size (large, 34" length).  I used to wear a large but when I got these pants, they were huge.  Way bigger than comfortable and to the point of unusable.

The waist was large but I could have lived with it using the included belt.  The pant legs ran under my feet even with my shoes on.  These things are huge!

Erin looks fantastic.  It's a bit strange for me to see Lindsey and Lisa all dressed up but they look great too.

We're back.  It's midnight and I'm very tired but I want to share some unsorted photos and videos before I kick off for the night.  We had a great time.  I'll write a full report soon but nobody will read it and we all just want to see the photos, right?
