The long awaited sequel.
This is the same drive recorded (not live broadcast). This includes sound though not as funny as it would have been yesterday. My jokes were better behind a heavily bumper-stickered car.

I found IncaX this morning and started to play with it. It is software that will record or broadcast live video to a web page along with your physical location via GPS. I broadcasted my drive home from work. You could have actually watched it live but this is the recorded version. The video is choppy because it is a live broadcast. Had I recorded it to my phone and uploaded it later, it would have been much smoother.

You know that big nice high-definition TV you have in the front room. The one you sit far enough away from that you can't tell the difference between 720 and 1080 even if you paid for the 1080? Yea, that one. Octopuses can tell the difference. They have tried to attract them with images before but standard definition TV images were obviously fake to them. Octopuses have expensive taste.

I read this article a few days ago. It's about a jellyfish that can reverse it's adult form back to it's polyp (baby) form, over and over. The ability to do this can mean that it is able to live "forever". Usually when we hear about a life form living for thousands of years it is a network of trees, a fungus, or some coral colony but this is a single thing. I wonder if it voluntarily turns back into a baby (as if a jellyfish does anything "voluntarily"). Maybe if it doesn't do it by a certain point of it's adulthood, it grows old and dies. Maybe the only way that this species dies is through non natural causes. What a grim thought that is.

You need to check this out. It's about 45 minutes long (!) but totally worth it. The music kind of sucks but the images are amazing. the video just scrolls from left to right. To appreciate it, click on the expand button and watch it in full screen. If you can't watch the whole thing now, just watch the first few minutes. Seriously.

I like the live camera feed. It is actually a security camera that I bought really cheap about a year ago. I didn't think about playing with it until a couple of weeks ago. It looks like those who have seen it, like it so far. I hope it works on all browsers.
MST3K (Mystery Science Theater 3000) is a favorite show of mine. When it was finally cancelled in the late 90's, I was sad but I didn't realize how many of them were made. I found a page of MST3K haiku. There aren't a ton but it's worth a look.

With the help of a brilliant friend, we now have a live webcam feed. You can see it here. You will need to log in to see it. I know, logging in sucks. If you are logged in, you can click on that link or hover over the 'webcam' link up there and the 'live webcam' linke will appear below it.
It is a bit crooked right now but it's hard to get it set up properly in the dark. I added a chat room to the bottom of the page as well.

Billy Mitchell is no longer the king of Donkey Kong! No, Steve Wiebe still hasn't done it. Some new guy. Some plastic surgeon named Hank Chien scored 1,061,700 points in only 2 hours and 35 minutes. It has been verified and he is the new champion. Very exciting day for nerds.

I love cats and dogs. You have all seen this video before. This is an automatic cat washer. I know that I have linked it in the past but I just re-discovered it today and I remembered how funny it is.
I always recommend against reading youtube comments and this is no exception. So many people write about cruelty and how horrible it is for the cat. Whatever. The cat doesn't want to be there but it's not getting hurt. Do you think your cat wanted to get spayed? Nobody's animal wants a bath.
