I'd wager he has some variety of walking clock in that box.

What's Up Lately

1/6/2008

So I changed the site's icon. I don't really like it but it's a step in the right direction. I was getting tired of the random icon and it gunks up your internet cache. I'll keep at it. Please visit the guestbook and give me some suggestions. You might want to clear your internet cache if you don't already do it regularly.

It's cold here and we're expecting a crazy storm tonight and in to the next couple of days. Check out these frozen bubbles. These were blown as a liquid and have frozen in filght. I think that I would find these really cool if I didn't associate it with the ice that I have to scrape it off of my car in the morning.

I guess that I shouldn't complain. Alaska has cancelled their statehood celebration again because it's too cold. Expecting "highs of 30 below by Friday and Saturday". Sucks.

In a much warmer part of the world, a 5,000 year old artificial eye has been found. They think that this "eye" was owned by Iranian woman who was also found with a leather pouch which they think was used to hold it when it wasn't being used. Gross.

The last company to produce player piano rolls has ended production. How cool. Think about the article that will be written in 2109 about the last car ever made to roll off the Toyota production line.

Check out these fake Chinese brands. I like KLC and the Lexus bicycle.

Happy birthday Erin!

Just for you, a photo gallery of horrible lip tattoos. This is what I got you for your birthday. Now I will look like a gentleman everywhere.

Long ago, hobos would etch, paint, or burn symbols into things to let other hobos know what was in the area. Places to get food and places to sleep were probably the most popular. Now even the homeless have e mail addresses and cell phones. Here are some modern hobo symbols. Some of these may be real. The first one is really used and I've seen it several times.

I never had action figures (dolls) as a kid. I had a Robo Cop but to this day I haven't even seen the movie. I would have happily taken any of these but I wouldn't have appreciated them. Poor Steve the Victim.

Alfa Romeo is a foreign car company and some of their cars are really expensive. I don't understand viral marketing but this sloth has something to do with selling cars. I am really creeped out. It's sort of like the end of Howard the Duck where you only want to know what the guy looks like inside the costume.

Hey, be happy!

Whenever something is supposed to be sophisticated on TV they use a British accent. What's up with that? Also, toyotathon is not a word.

What is a muppet? A mop and a puppet, right? Here's a bunch of muppet origin story. No "parents killed in an alley" or "bit by a spider" type stories but Animal was based on Keith Moon. Miss Piggy is from Iowa. Beaker is Little Richard.

Poop.

Skateboarding without a shirt on seems harmless. Unless you're this guy. He might be a better baseball player. He doesn't hit and bounce, he hit and spread.

Have you ever thought that some Disney movies taught "lessons" that were not the lessons that were taken away? A collection of Disney movies that could be taken the wrong way. Don't trust that creepy uncle.

Happy 2009. I had fun with some friends. It was really cold and windy here.

The first-year model Zune players froze yesterday for 24 hours in a leap-year 366th day oversight. They started working again today after a re-synchronize. Very funny. This will be fixed by 2012.

Check out cNet's list of 2008's most vulnerable computer software. MSN Messenger and Adobe Acrobat should switch places. And from the same site, predictions for 2009.
